Grief Ritual Intensive

Some grief asks more of us than a weekly hour can hold.

There are losses that require a different kind of witnessing — not just conversation, but ceremony. Not just understanding, but passage. The Grief Ritual Intensive is a sacred container for exactly this.

"Nature loves courage. You make the commitment, and nature will respond to that commitment by removing impossible obstacles. This is how magic is done. By hurling yourself into the abyss and discovering it's a feather bed."

— Terence McKenna

A threshold, held

What this is

Grief is not a problem to be solved. It is a passage to be made.

Whether you are carrying the death of someone beloved, the end of a marriage, a diagnosis, a dream that will not come, the slow grief of a life unlived — or grief that reaches further back, into ancestral lines and collective wounds — this intensive meets you at the threshold of it.

Over one to three days, in the quiet of a dedicated sacred space in Portland, Oregon, we will enter the grief together. Not to rush through it. Not to fix it. But to give it the attention, the ritual, and the witnessing it has always deserved.

The shape of the intensive

How we work together

Every intensive is as unique as the grief that calls it into being. What follows is the arc — though the path itself will be yours.

01

We begin by listening

We sit together and listen — to what has brought you here, to the threshold you find yourself standing at. This is unhurried, unscripted space.

02

We consult the I Ching

From there, we consult the I Ching, that ancient oracle of change and passage, for additional direction and insight into what this moment is asking of you.

03

The intensive unfolds

We may work with Accelerated Resolution Therapy to loosen the grip of a loss held in the nervous system. We may follow dreams, symbols, or images that have been circling. We may move through somatic work, or sit with what wants to be spoken aloud in the presence of a witness.

04

Your ritual is designed

By the close of the intensive, your grief will have been held in sacred space — and together, we will have designed a ritual to honor what was lost, mark the passage, and begin to open what comes next. Some choose to enact this ritual together before we part. For others, it lives in the days and weeks that follow.

05

Your ritual map arrives

Within one week of our time together, you will receive a detailed PDF that maps out your ritual — a guide to carry with you as you move through it, in your own time, in your own way.

Who this is for

You don't have to know exactly why you're here

You only need to arrive.

This intensive is for individuals, couples, and small groups who feel called to this kind of work. The grief you carry may be:

The death of someone beloved
The end of a marriage or relationship
A diagnosis or loss of health
A dream that will not come
A version of yourself left behind
Estrangement or broken belonging
Collective or cultural loss
Ancestral grief carried across generations
